David Andrews Careers Education and Guidance Consultant
David Andrews is a leading national expert on careers education and guidance (CEG) in schools and colleges.
Having been a head of careers, an advisory teacher in a careers service and a local authority adviser/inspector, David has been working as an independent consultant, trainer, writer and researcher since 1998 .
He has led courses for careers leaders, provided consultancy to national government and its agencies, local authorities, schools and careers organisations, and continues to speak at conferences. He has also written guidance materials, undertaken research studies and authored two books: Careers Education in Schools and, with Tristram Hooley, The Careers Leader Handbook.
In 2003 he was awarded the OBE for services to careers education and in 2018 the Career Development Institute (CDI) recognised his work with the Rodney Cox Lifetime Achievement Award.
