Fashion Design & Sewing Classes

The success story of Fashion Design & Sewing Classes.

The project was a success and many ladies from different ethnicities and backgrounds participated. Across the entire project, students covered many aspects of sewing and fashion including learning about;

  • cutting templates of clothes
  • learning to use the sewing machine
  • making bags, aprons, cushions
  • and much more!

More importantly, the project has allowed women and newcomers to get involved and take part in something new. General feedback from the beneficiaries include wanting more sessions; the ladies stated the sessions have boosted their confidence, the learning was of high quality and the enviroment was friendly and welcoming. Delivering the sessions from the Hockwell Community Centre has allowed to develop a new and successful community of women from different ethnicities.

We are continuing to seek more funding to help continue to run similar sessions and please do contact us if you wish to discuss any funding opportunities or to get involved.
